The world has been going crazy in the last months during the coronavirus pandemic. Some businesses closed others managed to hold their ground, endure, and fight through that rough period. It is common to hear in the business world that you must adapt to new situations and the market’s needs but most importantly you must provide value to the world. How did COVID-19 contribute to offering a new business opportunity?

Studies have shown that UVC at 254 nm is effective against all foodborne pathogens, natural microbiota, molds, and yeasts. Because microorganisms come with different sizes and shapes that affect their UV absorption, the required time for killing each species varies. How does UV sterilize something? UV sterilization also known as UV disinfection or ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) works by breaking down certain chemical bonds and scrambling the structure of DNA, RNA and proteins, causing a microorganism to be unable to multiply. When a microorganism is unable to multiply, it is considered dead since it cannot reproduce within a host and is no longer infectious.

Our company, Shenzhen Keasy Technology, introduced to the market the K-Robot Protector, an AI self-navigating robot which has the ability to move in an area autonomously, avoiding any obstacles (existing or that might occur) and disinfect it little by little using Philips UV lamps and implementing the UV technology we mentioned earlier.

How can businesses use this technology besides cleaning their own space? Let’s say that we install the K-Robot Protector to a hotel floor. The first thing that the robot will do is map the whole floor area going inside every room and down the hall. The robot then can navigate on the floor, going inside every room and disinfecting it. If a room door is closed, the robot will move on to the next one and continue its job. There is also the way to wheel the robot in each area that needs disinfecting, and after it is done with the mapping it will proceed with the disinfection

The K-Robot Protector offers new business opportunities and opens a new market. By investing in the K-Robot Protector and Ultraviolet (UV) Lighting Technology businesses can offer the robot in the form of a lease for various application scenarios like disinfecting schools, offices, hospitals, etc. and charge the client by the hour. So with this technique and by not buying and reselling the product, businesses can get a huge return on their investment by expanding their services and creating new opportunities. A single robot can be leased for up to 10 hours a day with a cost of 80 to 100 US dollars per hour and at that time it is able to cover an area up to 2000sqm.
